Our services include:-

  • Lip reading classes (free to Bexley residents - places must be booked before attending course)
  • advocacy sessions
  • hearing aid maintenance clinics/local domiciliary home visiting service
  • Lunch Club (Tuesdays and outings every other Thursday) and a Job Club (Fridays 10.30am-1.00pm)
  • Walking Football

British Sign Language Taster at the Bexley Deaf Centre (£5 per person - places must be booked before)

Deaf Awareness/Sign Skills, Friday 1st November, 1.30pm-3.30pm at Bexley Deaf Centre, 20 Whitehall Lane, DA8 2DH. £15 per person. Please contact Centre to book a place.

Courses held at Bexley Deaf Centre:-

  • BSL Level 1 Beginners Course starts Autumn 2019
  • BSL Level  2  starts Autumn 2019

Evening Classes courses off-site:-

  • Level 1 class to be confirmed
  • Level 2 starting 30th October in Belvedere
  • Level 3 class to be confirmed

The Bexley Deaf Group was formed in 1986 and became a registered charity in December 1990. It is responsible for the management of Bexley Deaf Centre which aims to provide information, education and support for Deaf people in Bexley enabling them to enjoy the same quality of life as those with normal hearing. It aims to make a difference to the lives of Deaf people through encouragement and empowerment to live independent lives whilst also increasing Deaf Awareness wherever possible.
